BMW is adding another model to its Neue Klasse electric family, the iX4. The new EV brings a sleeker shape to the brand’s growing SUV lineup.
The iX4 50 xDrive will launch in March 2027 from $66,200 before destination charges. Built in Hungary, the launch version uses two electric motors and all-wheel drive, producing 463 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque.

That is enough for a claimed 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. More impressive, however, is the claimed range. Its 112.2-kWh usable battery can deliver up to 428 miles on a charge.
The charging figures are equally strong. BMW’s 800-volt architecture supports DC charging at up to 400kW, allowing the iX4 to add as much as 184 miles of range in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions. A 10-80% charge takes a claimed 21 minutes.
