BMW is giving the X3 M50 xDrive a little more attitude for the 2027 model year. The performance SUV now produces 437 hp, with the extra power coming from recalibrated engine software rather than any mechanical changes.
The turbocharged inline-six continues to work with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive setup. It is a small change on paper, but one that gives the X3 M50 a useful boost in performance.

BMW is also adding a new Black Package to the M Performance SUV. As expected, the treatment focuses on dark exterior and interior details, building on the existing M Sport Package Pro.
The package brings 22-inch Polygon-style M Black wheels and high-gloss black brake calipers, giving the X3 M50 a more aggressive appearance. Inside, we’ve got Alcantara trim and embossed M logos on the headrests, which add a sportier touch.
