BYD has revealed the first images of its second-generation Seal 07, giving the mid-to-large sedan a fresh design and two different powertrain options. Buyers will be able to choose between plug-in hybrid and fully electric versions.
The new Seal 07 follows BYD’s “Ocean Aesthetics 2.0” design language, bringing it visually closer to the Seal 08. Up front, wave-shaped split headlights sit above a closed grille, while a roof-mounted LiDAR points to the company’s God’s Eye B driver-assistance system.
The sedan has also grown in size, creating more room inside. Its clean profile features a panoramic sunroof, semi-hidden door handles and 18- or 19-inch wheels. A full-width rear light bar completes the look.
The PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbo engine with a 160 kW (214 hp) electric motor and 38.029 kWh LFP battery, offering 245 km (152 miles) of WLTC electric range.
The BEV produces 300 kW (400 hp), reaches 240 km/h (150 mph) and offers up to 718 km (446 miles) of WLTP range.
