The Defender OCTA Black has made its Singapore debut, bringing an even more sinister look to the most powerful production Defender yet.
Unveiled at a private preview event, the OCTA Black is priced at $817,888, excluding COE. It comes finished in Narvik Black, the darkest shade available in the Defender palette.
The blacked-out treatment goes much further than paint. Up to 30 exterior components receive Gloss Black or Satin Black finishes, including the grille, badges, skid plates, recovery eyes and exhaust finishers.
Under the bonnet, the familiar 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 produces 626 hp and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). That’s enough to launch the hefty SUV from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds.
Importantly, the OCTA Black retains its serious off-road hardware. Defender’s 6D Dynamics suspension is joined by a dedicated OCTA Mode for high-speed off-roading.
Ground clearance can rise to 323 mm (12.7 inches), while maximum wading depth is an impressive 1,000 mm (39.4 inches).
