The Lamborghini Temerario already packs serious performance, but it appears the Italian marque has left plenty in reserve for hotter versions in the future.
Lamborghini product line director Paolo Racchetti has suggested that the Temerario’s new architecture offers significant room for development, both from its combustion engine and hybrid system.
“This is a brand-new architecture that has a lot of potential for the future,” Racchetti said, adding that Lamborghini could extract more from both the ICE and electric sides of the powertrain.
He also hinted at “more powerful, different interpretations” of the supercar, although Lamborghini is keeping its plans under wraps for now.
The standard Temerario is hardly lacking. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 works with three electric motors to produce 907 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
It rockets from 0-62 mph in just 2.7 seconds and has a top speed exceeding 211 mph.
Given Lamborghini’s history of producing increasingly extreme derivatives, a lighter and more powerful Temerario would hardly come as a surprise.
