The Tesla Roadster is “Go for launch”. The American EV maker has just dropped a teaser confirming the launch date for its new electric sports car.
It’s been 9 years since the Tesla Roadster was first showcased. Finally, we will get to see the production version on October 1, 2026.

Tesla claims that its all-new electric sports car will be “the quickest vehicle in the world, with record-setting acceleration, range and performance.”
We first got a glimpse of the prototype Roadster in November 2017. At the time, Tesla was charging $200,000 for the base variant and $250,000 for the Founders Series. Now, almost a decade later, it is likely to cost a lot more than that.
