Mercedes-AMG is promising something special with its next Black Series, and CEO Ola Källenius is confident enough to put his own name behind it.
In a recent interview, Källenius said the upcoming model will be “insane” and unlike anything people expect. He even offered a personal guarantee that enthusiasts will love it.
“The next AMG Black Series will be insane, and it will be something completely different that nobody expects,” Källenius said. He further added, “And I can guarantee that… readers will love it. You have my personal guarantee.”
Mercedes has not revealed the technical details yet, so there is plenty of room for speculation. A flat-plane-crank V8 is expected, potentially producing more power than the current AMG GT 63 Pro. Beating the previous AMG GT Black Series, which produced 720 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, would be a serious target.
