Testing of the Ferrari 12Cilindri VS continues. A new spy video has surfaced on the internet showing a fully camouflaged Versione Speciale on the move. What is interesting here is that the prototype is fitted with a couple of microphone attachments.
We can clearly see the microphones on the car when it comes to a stop at an intersection. They are positioned close to the exhaust outlets. Perhaps Ferrari is using them to fine-tune the exhaust note of the V12 engine for an even better output. Or maybe they are there to analyse how loud the car is for regulatory purposes.
Some of the other details that can be deciphered from the footage include a huge ducktail spoiler at the back, a reworked front bumper with some new aero bits, 5-spoke stylish alloys, and LED taillights joined by an LED light bar.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri VS (Versione Speciale) will be powered by the same naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine as the standard version, albeit with a slightly higher peak output. The current version delivers 819 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. So we can expect the upgrades to boost the engine output to around 850 hp.
