The Praga Bohema has set a new lap record at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, clocking a time of 2 min 21.42 seconds during a customer track day.

The Bohema beat the record set by the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC of 2 min 23.081 seconds, which had remained unbeaten for the last 6 years. What’s remarkable is the fact that the Bohema achieved this on road tyres and with other cars on the circuit.

Praga test driver Aleš Jirásek said, “We weren’t at Spa to chase a record. We were there with customers to enjoy driving one of the greatest circuits in the world. After a few sessions we realised the conditions were good and decided to see what the Bohema could do.”

“It’s incredible how naturally the car delivers this level of performance. We were on road tyres, there was traffic on track, and the car received no special preparation. That speaks volumes about the underlying capability of the Bohema and the engineering behind it,” he added.

The Praga Bohema is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 690 hp and 535 lb-ft of torque. Crucially, the car weighs less than 1000 kg. It generates 900 kg of downforce at 155 mph and can reach a top speed of 186 mph.
