Fresh reports tell us that the BYD Da Han will debut in China on Aug 21 at the 29th Chengdu Auto Show, and pre-bookings will begin on the same day. The electric sedan, which is longer than the Mercedes S-Class, is expected to have a starting price of around 300,000 yuan ($44,490).
In terms of design, the BYD Da Han features a continuous silver roofline that flows seamlessly into the pillars, contrasting nicely with the body. Up front, the sedan has slim headlights which are connected by BYD’s signature “Dragon Whiskers” element, while the rear features a full-width light bar.

In its most potent form, the dual-motor AWD setup of the BYD Da Han delivers 764 hp, while a 102.3 kWh LFP battery enables up to 880 km (546 miles) of range (CLTC).
There’s also a rear-wheel-drive version pushing range even further, up to a claimed 1,008 km (626 miles). Fast charging is part of the package too, thanks to BYD’s latest flash-charging tech.
