Czinger Vehicles has revealed the 21C Spyder at Pebble Beach. It’s the open-top version of its 21C hypercar powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that revs to 11,000 rpm.
The Czinger 21C Spyder is based on what the company calls the world’s first BioLogic chassis. It is manufactured using additive technology and incorporates a carbon fibre monocoque. Together, the chassis weighs just 276 lbs.
Czinger has also introduced a redesigned brake system, where the brake assembly elements are integrated directly into the suspension.
Powering the 21C Spyder is a 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 750 hp. It is paired with two electric motors – one on the front axle and the other a crankshaft-mounted Motor Generator Unit- which generate an additional 500 hp, bringing the total system output to 1250 hp.
Czinger claims the 21C Spyder can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph.
The 21C Spyder has the same tandem 1+1 seat configuration as the coupe.
