The new Audi Q9 and SQ9 have been introduced in multiple international markets recently. Now, both the latest SUVs from the four-ringed brand have been confirmed for Australia. While a specific date has not been revealed, it has been reported that Audi will bring them to the Land Down Under in 2027.

As per reports, the growing demand for large SUVs in the region made it easy for Audi to give its latest flagship the go-ahead for the Australian market. It is expected to arrive after the new Q7 is introduced here.

Powering the new Audi Q9 is a mildly hybridised 3.0-litre V6 diesel available in two states of tune—241 hp/369 lb ft or 295 hp/465 lb ft—both paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. On the other hand, the sportier Audi SQ9 uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that delivers 591 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

When launched in Australia, the Audi Q9 will lock horns with the BMW X7, Mercedes GLS and one of the newcomers called the Zeekr 9X.
