In May 2026, we had posted an exclusive report about Koenigsegg’s next limited hypercar. The company is finally gearing up to reveal it at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, and has just dropped the first official teaser.
The short clip posted on Koenigsegg’s social media handles doesn’t reveal much. However, our sources have told us that the new model is a tribute to the Koenigsegg CCGT Le Mans race car. It may be called CCGT+ and is likely to be limited to just 30 units.
Koenigsegg had plans to enter the top-tier GT1 class at Le Mans back in the 2000s. But by the time a prototype called the CCGT GT1 Competition Coupe was ready, the project was cancelled due to changes in the homologation requirements.
The teaser’s caption is a clear hint to this project. It says, “Unfinished business. A time capsule waiting to be opened.”
