Hennessey Performance has revealed a more extreme variant of the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT, aptly named ‘Maximus’. The truck was recently showcased at the SRT Performance Engineering Day in Detroit.
The Hennessey Maximus packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, which has been heavily upgraded so it produces 1032 hp and 947 lb-ft of torque. That’s a jump of 255 hp and 267 lb-ft over the standard Ram 1500 Rumble Bee, courtesy of a high-capacity intercooler, a larger intake tube, and a proprietary engine calibration. Hennessey has also thrown in 22-inch wheels and a lowered air suspension.
With over 1000 horsepower on tap, the Maximus sprints from 0-60 mph in just 3 seconds and crosses the quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds. This dual-cab pickup truck will reach a top speed of 200 mph!
The Hennessey Maximum is no sleeper, though. It comes with VenomAero body kit that gives it a sporty, aggressive look. Heck, it even has a rear spoiler, which can be removed to reduce drag and achieve the advertised top speed.
