Mercedes-Benz is finally giving us a clearer look at one of its most intriguing upcoming models—the G-Class Cabriolet. After a quiet tease just yesterday, fresh images now reveal what this open-top G-Wagon is really about.

At first glance, it’s unmistakably G-Class. Boxy, upright, and demanding presence. But drop the roof, and things get interesting. The G-Class Cabriolet features a folding soft top that stacks neatly at the rear. Up front, a short fixed metal section remains above the driver and passenger, while a prominent roll bar sits behind the second row.

That structure suggests the open-air experience may be more focused than expected. It’s not a full convertible in the traditional sense. There are smaller details worth noting too. The third brake light is now integrated into the spare wheel cover.

Performance is still under wraps, but it is being anticipated that this will be an AMG variant. If that holds true, expect something close to the Mercedes-AMG G63 specs. That means a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 with around 577 hp and serious straight-line pace.
