The Dodge Charger is turning 60—and the brand isn’t planning a quiet celebration. Instead, it’s bringing more power to the party with a new, hotter ICE version set to debut next month.
Right now, the gas-powered Dodge Charger lineup relies on the 3.0-litre twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six. In standard form, it delivers 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque. Step up to the Scat Pack, and you’re looking at 550 hp and 531 lb-ft.

While official details remain under wraps, all signs point to an even more potent version of the Hurricane engine. Crossing the 600-hp mark seems likely, especially considering tuned builds go well past that.
The big reveal will take place at the 11th edition of Roadkill Nights in Pontiac, Michigan, on Saturday, Aug 8, 2026.
