Red Bull RB17-Adrian Newey-Goodwood

Red Bull RB17 sounds like old F1 cars during its lap at Goodwood

The Red Bull RB17 was taken around the hill climb circuit at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026. Powered by a Cosworth-sourced V10 engine, the 1200 hp hypercar sounded like old F1 cars.

The video of the RB17 taking on the hill climb circuit has been shared on the event’s official social media handle. It shows the car from different angles and different points at the track, giving us a good listen to its sound.

Of course, it is loud. It is a hypercar with 1200 hp under its belt. But it reminded us of the old F1 cars, especially when we hear the fly-bys. It also burbles, sometimes during gearshifts.

At the event, the Red Bull RB17 was driven by Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 driver Isack Hadjar, Red Bull Test and Reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda, Red Bull Racing Academy Programme driver Alisha Palmowski, and RBAT’s former CTO and the car’s visionary designer Adrian Newey.

It’s difficult to say who among them was behind the wheel in this video.
