Toyota has revealed a 7-cylinder Camry GR model. It is a special one-of-one project car built by the Japanese auto giant, perhaps, to showcase its strengths and what it is capable of building.

Of course, the highlight of the 7-cylinder Camry GR is its engine. 3 cylinders are located in the front, under the hood, where you’d find the engine in the regular Camry. The remaining 4 cylinders are placed at the back of the car.

To accommodate them, a lot of design changes have been made to the vehicle. We can see in the video that there are no rear seats. The 4 cylinders occupy the boot as well as most of the space available at the rear. Instead of a regular interior, there is a custom-built roll cage installed.

From the outside, the 7-cylinder Camry GR gets tweaked bodywork. This includes a sporty front bumper with massive air ducts and a splitter. A wide body kit has also been installed, as it’s evident from the flared wheel arches. The car is also running on black alloy wheels.

The custom body kit continues to the back as well. There is a sporty rear bumper with aero bits and a huge wing installed on the boot of the car. We can also spot a custom exhaust setup as well as what seems to be a fibre rear glass, perhaps for weight savings.

While engine details of this special one-off project remain a mystery as of now, we do hear how it sounds – like a proper JDM!
