The Chinese Zeekr 001 Fifth Anniversary Edition is back on sale after selling out shortly after its original debut back in April – clear evidence of just how strong demand is for high-performance EVs. And why shouldn’t it be? Priced at around $54,000 (365,000 yuan), this electric vehicle packs in 912 hp and promises a 10-80% charge in just 10 minutes!
This limited-run model is built on a 900-volt electrical architecture and features a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup producing those many horses. Performance? 0-62 mph (0–100 km/h) comes up in just 2.9 seconds, while top speed is rated at 174 mph (280 km/h).
What really stands out, though, is its charging capability. Thanks to 6C ultra-fast charging tech and a 103 kWh battery pack, the Zeekr can charge from 10 to 80% in just 10 minutes under ideal conditions – putting it among the quickest-charging EVs currently available.
The chassis setup backs up those numbers. It comes equipped with KW coilover suspension, Brembo six-piston brakes, and lightweight carbon-fibre aerodynamic components, suggesting this isn’t just about straight-line speed.
Zeekr is the premium EV brand of Geely Auto. The 001 Fifth Anniversary Edition is up for grabs again, but only in the Chinese market. Buyers who place orders before the end of May will also benefit from limited-time offers.
