AC Cars has created a new Cobra Coupe. It is a $500,000 hardtop 2-seater sports car that’d come with a 799 hp V8 engine.
Set to enter production next year, the AC Cobra Coupe shares much of its DNA with the latest Cobra Roadster, including its aluminium chassis and full carbon-fibre body. Around 75% of components are carried over, but the fixed roof brings a sharper, more purposeful silhouette.

Powering the car is a familiar Ford-sourced 5.0-litre V8, offered in multiple states of tune. The naturally aspirated version delivers 450 hp, while a supercharged setup pushes output to 720 hp. For those chasing extremes, the limited-run Clubsport Edition turns things up to 799 hp and will be capped at just 99 units.
Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual from Tremec or a 10-speed automatic. Depending on the variant, buyers get either a limited-slip or Torsen differential, while double wishbone suspension all around promises sharp handling.

Production will begin once existing Roadster orders are fulfilled, with first deliveries expected in 2028.
