Shelby American has revealed a track-oriented version of the iconic Super Snake. The 2026 Shelby Super Snake-R is a limited-edition widebody Mustang packing over 850 hp.
The Shelby Super Snake-R is based on the S650 Mustang platform and is the most aggressive Super Snake ever made. It features a widebody kit that includes carbon fibre front fenders, hood vents, a front splitter, rocker wickers, a rear wing, and a lower diffuser. The car rides on 20-inch magnesium alloy wheels with massive 13-inch wide rims at the back.
Under the hood is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers over 850 hp. The engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
The Super Snake-R also comes with upgraded suspension. It features fully adjustable coil-overs, metal spherical bearings, and a rear harness strut bar.

Prices for the 2026 Shelby Super Snake-R start at $224,995. This includes the cost of the base Mustang Darkhorse.
