Porsche has revealed the updated version of its track-focused 911 GT3. The new model is available with the optional Weissach package for the first time. It is also available in the slightly toned-down Touring spec.

The 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 facelift gets several tiny updates that are said to make a huge difference when it comes to the driving experience. It is powered by a 4.0-liter, flat-6 engine that revs to 9000 rpm and delivers 502 hp to the rear wheels. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual as standard, but you also get an optional 7-speed PDK.

The engine gets new throttle bodies, oil coolers, revised heads, and reworked camshafts. The gearbox also features shorter ratios. Porsche has also tweaked the double wishbone suspension on the new GT3. Changes have been made to the front to reduce drive under braking.

The 911 GT3 facelift gets subtle changes on the outside. It has revised front and rear bumpers with exposed carbon elements, a redesigned rear diffuser with a centre exhaust, a new engine cover, and a top-mounted rear wing. The optional Weissach package adds a carbon fibre roof, new anti-roll bars, drop links, shear panel, end plates and carbon mirror caps. Customers can also opt for lightweight magnesium wheels.
