Ferrari recently launched the SF90 XX – the most hardcore, track-focused version of the hybrid supercar. Meanwhile, work has already begun on the SF90 successor.
A test mule, believed to be the SF90 replacement, has been spotted for the first time. It appears to be an early development prototype, as it uses the same body as the current SF90 Stradale. However, there are a few differences, especially around the rear fenders and exhausts.
Now, little is known about the SF90 successor. Rumours suggest that the new model is codenamed SF100 and is likely to be based on a revised SF90 platform. It will be a hybrid just like the current model. Perhaps it could use the upgraded powertrain from the SF90 XX.
The SF90 XX is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors. It has a combined output of 1016 hp and is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
