The biggest highlight of RM Sotheby’s Paris auction was the magnificent Bugatti Chiron Profilée. It fetched over $10.7 million, making it the most expensive new car ever sold at auction. However, it was not the only Bugatti on offer.

A Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport and a 1932 Type 55 Roadster also hit the auction block, but both cars failed to find a buyer.

This 2009 Veyron Grand Sport left the factory finished in Black Blue Metallic but was later repainted by the factory in a two-tone colour scheme of Uni Black and Italian Red. The striking exterior is complemented by an equally stunning red leather interior.

Out of the 450 Veyrons produced, 58 came with a removable Targa top and were christened ‘Grand Sport’. The car was powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that churned out 987 hp. Bugatti claims a 0-60 mph time of 2.46 seconds and a top speed of 254 mph.

This particular car was retained by the factory prior to being sold to a private buyer in 2014. It was offered at the Paris auction with close to 21,800 miles on the odometer. It is still listed on RM Sotheby’s website with an asking price of $1.48 million, before fees and taxes.
