The first image of the next generation BMW M3 has leaked online. This image, which is doing the rounds of social media appears to have been snapped at the production line.
The new BMW M3 is based on the G80 generation 3 Series. Apart from a boost in performance, the new M3 also gets a carbon lip spoiler, wider fenders and a redesigned rear bumper with a diffuser finished in body colour. It has the familiar quad exhausts, of course.
Some reports say that the M4 coupe could get this rather ungainly grille or it could be offered on the M3 as well. I’m sure you guys will have a lot to say about that grille. So, please do chime in your thoughts in the comments section below.
The G80 BMW M3 is expected to offered with a 3.0-liter, turbocharged 6-cylinder engine producing around 500 hp and all-wheel drive. However, the base variant could get a slightly de-tuned engine with around 473 hp.
If reports are true then, the new BMW M3 could be launched sometime next year. The four-door sedan will be followed by the BMW M4. The two-door coupe is also expected to be offered in standard and Competition trims and will share the same engines as the M3.
