This is probably the first reported crash of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8. It has happened less than a month following the launch of the new mid-engine Corvette.
Images of a wrecked Corvette C8 have surfaced on the Corvette Forum just a few hours ago.
Reports suggest that the car was part of group that was traveling through the Yosemite National Park in California. Apparently, it hit an SUV on a twisty mountain road. The impact was such that it ripped the driver side wheel off the SUV.
The Corvette also suffered substantial damage. You can clearly see the driver side front corner in bits. While the bodywork is all crumpled, the driver side headlight is gone. It may have also suffered major suspension damage.
The state of those involved in the crash is still unknown.
