Moto GP Champion Valentino Rossi swaps his bike for a Ferrari 488 Pista
Recently, Valentino Rossi test drove a Ferrari 488 Pista prototype at the Fiorano circuit in Maranello. Rossi was accompanied by a Ferrari test driver probably to show him around the private test track. Ferrari has released a short video of Rossi’s drive in their latest supercar. Rossi does seem rather smitten by the 710 hp supercar and who knows, he might be buy one for himself.
The Ferrari 488 Pista was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It is powered by a 3.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine based on the 488 Challenge race car. The car features numerous aerodynamic updates including an F1-derived S-duct in the front, a spoiler in the back and a rear diffuser with active vanes. The 488 Pista weighs 90 kg less than the standard 488 GTB thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber.
