Porsche 911 GT2 RS: Cover Car of Forza Motorsport 7 Unveiled at E3 2017

Porsche just surprised everyone as they unveiled the new 911 GT2 RS at E3 2017. The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the cover car of Forza Motorsport 7 which explains why they chose to reveal the car now.

That said, we still don’t have the final specifications of the car. Those details will be announced at an auto show sometime in the near future.

What we know so far is that the new 911 GT2 RS will use a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine. Peak output will be boosted up to around 650 hp and like all previous GT2 RS’, the new one too will be rear-wheel drive only. It will only be available with the PDK dual-clutch gearbox as Porsche has no plans to offer it with a manual.

The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS looks quite sharp in its fancy bodykit. The air intakes up front are just massive and so is the rear spoiler. The vents on the front fenders have been carried over from the GT3 RS and the scoops on the sides confirm the presence of turbos.
