We all know, the new Ford GT is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine. It’s now confirmed that the EcoBoost engine delivers 647 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. That’s a lot of performance from an engine block the size of an F-150 engine. The car weighs at 3054 lbs or 1385 kg and has a top speed of 216 mph!

So, how does it compare with its rivals?

The new Ford GT is almost as fast as a Lamborghini Aventador which tops out at 217 mph. Engine performance wise, it can be compared with the McLaren 675LT which has 666 hp and 516 lb-ft with a top speed of 205 mph. However, a new and improved McLaren 720S is on the way which will should beat the Ford GT fair and square.
