Jaguar has launched a refreshed version of the F-Type. The Jaguar F-Type 400 Sport – a limited production model has just been announced which brings in revised styling and additional tech features.
For 2017, Jaguar has given the popular F-Type sports car mildly refreshed styling. This include new multi-mode LED headlights and reworked front bumpers. These updates will be available on the MY2017 F-Type as well as the newly released F-Type 400 Sport.
F-Type 400 Sport
The F-Type 400 Sport launch edition is powered by a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 which delivers 380 hp, hence the name ‘400 Sport’. The limited edition model which will be on sale for just 1 year features an uprated Super Performance braking system comprising of 380 mm front and 376 mm rear discs and black brake calipers with ‘400 Sport’ logo.
A new Configurable Dynamics system allows the driver to alter throttle, transmission and damper settings on the go. A new set of 20 inch alloy wheels are also included. The 2017 Jaguar F-Type 400 Sport is available as a coupe and convertible with prices starting at $85,300 approx.
The R-Dynamic version is available with either an 8-speed automatic or manual gearbox with the latter available on rear-wheel drive versions only. It comes with 19-inch alloy wheels and gloss black exterior styling details.
Jaguar has introduced lightweight seats that slimmer than before and use magnesium alloy seat frames that are stronger and lighter than conventional frames. These changes amount to a total weight savings of 8 kg. As a result of the redesign, the driver now sits lower in the cabin and can experience increased leg room.
A new Touch Pro infotainment system with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen is available across the range. Another addition is the park assist system. ReRun- a smartphone app developed jointly with GoPro logs performance data like g-force, throttle position, steering angle etc.
