The Chevrolet Corvette is in its seventh generation now and the second Stingray to ever exist. For the 2015 model year, GM has updated a few aspects of the popular American sports car. Buyers will get the option of an 8-speed automatic transmission this time around. Paddle shifts will also make it on to the new Corvette Stingray. Initially, the company was offering a six-speed gearbox which is now upgraded with two overdrive ratios. Also, making the order guides is a limited-slip differential. The exterior of the car will see a few aesthetic changes too.

Two new colors have been added to the palette; Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic, Shark Gray Mettalic. An optional ZF1 Appearance Package will buy you a body-colored boot spoiler and five-spoke silver finish alloy wheels. The Z51 Performance Package will also be sold on high-spec versions. Further optional extras include multiple carbon fiber upgrades part of Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package and an aero pack which includes a front splitter, spoiler, wider rocker panels, etc. A track-spec Performance Data Recorder will also be sold as an optional extra.

Meanwhile, the interior of the 2015 Corvette Stingray gets a few changes as well. The list of options now includes quilted suede headliner and carbon fiber tonneau cover for the convertible version. GM has stuck with OnStar infotainment system with 4G LTE and Wi-fi hotspot capability. The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be powered by the same 6.2-liter V-8 producing 455 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 460 lb-ft at 4600 rpm on the base variant. A 7-speed manual transmission will be fitted as standard.
