Aston Martin Valkyrie build slot for sale at $3.9 million

The Aston Martin Valkyrie was announced a couple of years ago and it wasn’t much time until all the units were allocated to discerning customers all around the world. But, it looks like not everyone who has spoken for the car intend to keep it with themselves. For a car so exclusive and so special, some amount of flipping activity is expected.

Yesterday, we brought you a story on an Aston Martin Vulcan being listed for sale by Knight International – a firm in business of exotic cars in Dubai. Now, the same company is selling an allocation for the Valkyrie for $3.9 million.

On the website, the firm explains “As with the LaFerrari, LaFerrari Aperta and Lamborghini Centenario, interest (and value) of this car is expected to increase significantly, shortly before delivery. Ownership of a build slot is a rare opportunity to capitalize on this investment opportunity and reserve ownership of a thoroughbred, next generation hypercar.”

The build slot is scheduled for delivery in 2019 which means it will be one of the early cars to roll off the production line. The seller also mentions that the allocation is not tied to obligatory purchase of an Aston Martin Lagonda, a stipulation forced upon original owners.

We don’t know if the guys at Aston know about this, but if they do, someone is going to lose the privilege of buying a special Aston Martin in the future. Andy Palmer, the CEO of Aston Martin has been very strict on flipping activity, announcing that if anyone is caught selling build slots of the Valkyrie, they will not only lose their allocation but they will never be allowed to buy any special edition Aston Martin in the future.

But assuming that this flipping is able to get through, the buyer will be able to choose the colors, materials and all the extravagant customization options that Aston Martin is offering to Valkyrie customers. Considering that the price for the Valkyrie allocation was announced to be $3 million, the buyer of this build slot will have to pay close to $1 million over the original price for the car – someone is going to make a lot of easy money, that is if they don’t come under Gaydon’s scrutiny.
